| Typically Michael and Geoffrey charge $300 per performance and prefer not to charge at the door so as to provide more incentive for paying customers to show up. If the venue would prefer a longer set (3 to 4 hours) the duo charges $500. If the venue agrees to help promote the event or provide food, the price can be lowered. A $100 dollar minimum is needed to cover the cost of gas, equipment, and labor. All equipment will be provided should the venue lack an amplification system. BIOGRAPHYA resident of central Virginia, Michael has been performing for the majority of his life. Following formal training on the violin Michael was self-taught on both guitar and piano. After releasing albums in 2005 and 2006 he received significant radio play across the East Coast, toured the East Coast extensively, performed live on ABC and CBS network affiliates and has had his music played nationally on MTV.From 2005 to 2008 Michael wrote music reviews as a critic with his own byline for The Burg under Media General. He also worked for Clear Channel Radio from 2005 to 2009 in the Lynchburg and Roanoke market. In 2008 he completed a stint with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida. In 2009 Michael released a compilation album featuring the best of his previously released material from 2005 to 2009. A native of Syracuse, New York, Geoffrey Osborne joined Chagnon in 2007 for an East Coast tour. Osborne has a similar history of performing and composing. While working on his bachelor’s degree, Geoffrey worked for Longwood University’s radio station as a DJ and coordinator of Bandfest – a big budget, high-publicity concert held every year. He recently released an eponymous EP (extended play) and coming from a musically-inclined family, Osborne rounds off Chagnon's sound as a multi-instrumentalist. |
